After all of the logistics of the wedding are sorted and planned out, it’s time to look at the smaller details that make a huge impact on the day of. Thoughtful planning and communication when hosting any event is the make-or-break for a truly enjoyable celebration, and wedding signs help do just that!
By assisting your guests through clear and simple signage, you are setting the “We are taking care of you today! Thank you for being here!” tone for your wedding. So our friends from High Oak & Co. are sharing their top 5 essential wedding signs for anyone hosting a celebration for their loved ones.
DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE
If you’re getting married in a wide-open outdoor space or a multi-functional venue, let your guests know where to go with arrow signs! These are especially essential for locations that are a bit tricky to find via GPS or just aren’t familiar to your loved ones. Make it as stress-free as possible before your guests even arrive! Getting married at a historic venue where you aren’t able to hammer a sign into the ground? Grab a large chic garden plant pot, fill with coarse sand, top with small rocks, and “plant” your arrow sign inside of it. Easy to move and remove for the event without any damage! There are several ways to point people in the right direction.
Lastly, make sure to include your wedding hashtag in your welcome sign to remind all your guests to include your tag when they post throughout the event!
WELCOME WEDDING SIGN
The moment your guests arrive, let them know they are in the right spot with a wedding welcome sign. This also serves as a little greeting from you since you won’t be able to greet them yourself as you’re kind of busy getting ready for the ceremony! At most every wedding, there is always a row or a chair reserved for the couple’s family, closest loved ones, or those actively participating in the ceremony. Help those VIPs know where to go and that you have saved space for them with a freestanding or hanging Reserved sign. After the ceremony, upcycle this same sign at the reception!
