The Right Setting

Now let’s move to the setting, shall we?! I believe that in order to create the perfect minimalist modern wedding, you have to have the right setting. And after you see these pics you’ll understand why. With the help of our amazing team, we staged this dreamy day at the brand new Porta Blu Venue. It offered everything we needed: interesting architectural details, a contemporary ambiance, an outdoor option, and a stage that could be used as a blank canvas for our sweetheart table (or your ceremony). I love the teal velvet couches and the black and white pattern on the indoor/outdoor chimney!

Moody Table Decor

Following the wedding inspiration and the modern theme behind the shot, the amazing Jessica (from Porta Blu) helped me create this chic tablescape to highlight the pre-arranged centerpieces from Bouqs Weddings. We used clean lines and geometric details in a black and white palette with gold details, as well as the greenery installation available at the venue. The centerpieces from The Bouqs Weddings came beautifully pre-arranged to fit a tall vase, but we clipped the stems to fit our short vases. The arrangements were so full that it gave us the opportunity to clip a few roses for our tiny vases, too.

Simple and Bold Paper Elements

The cool paper details on the table including the menus, escort cards, and table numbers are from Paper Culture, another sustainable resource for your wedding day you must get to know. They actually plant a tree with every order. We choose the Dramatic Flair suite, a sketch-style collection for a modern bold statement. The suite also includes invitations, programs, and more. If you are going with that modern minimalist mood, an invitation like this is just so on point.

Clean Bridal Look

For our gorgeous couple, we chose outfits that were chic and elegant. Our bride is wearing a fitted wedding dress with minimal detailing and a statement lace train by Essense of Australia. Our bridal stylist at Ella Blu helped us pick two gorgeous veils that matched the beautiful gown and elevated the bridal bouquet.

My friend Heather Deshea took care of the beauty, tying up the bridal look with a sleek ponytail hairstyle and dramatic, yet classy makeup.

Iliana from Kendra Scott put the final touches on our bride with a back necklace and statement earrings, a lovely bracelet, and gold bands. And to completed the look we added a black purse by The Mrs. Clutch!

Modern Groom

Our edgy groom wore a classic black tux from our friends at The Tux Shoppe with a perfectly subtle boutonniere that matched the bride’s bouquet.

Architectural Cakes

The entire day was beautifully done, and overflowing with must-see wedding inspiration, but some of my favorite details were the two gorgeous artistic cakes baked with love by the talented Chantilly Cakes and decorated with flowers from our The Bouqs Weddings.
