Shutterfly’s customizable entertaining and personalized gift collection fired up our creative juices for this editorial shoot and helped us turn an average bridal party gathering into a stylish, thoughtful celebration.
Pops of pale pink and pastel green created an ultra chic color palette for our “Cactus and Cotton Candy” Bridesmaid Brunch. I had a ball putting together a lovely tabletop and a dessert bar with my friend Marissa from Me Cupcake. It combined all of my loves – designing a gorgeous table, styling our gorgeous bride-to-be (fashion) and sweet little treats.
But my favorite part of the shoot was that every Shutterfly decorative element you see in these images could be used as gifts for your bridesmaids or bridal brunch favors! Too cute, right? Saying we are excited to share these images with you today is an understatement—let’s just say we would love being a guest at a party like this!
LET LOVE GROW
I started with the place settings. These pretty multi succulent plates were the main inspiration behind every detail of this soiree. I also thought of taking advantage of the easy personalization feature by adding the famous phrase, “Let love Grow” for the perfect touch to celebrate the upcoming “I do’s” of our main gal. Not into succulents? No worries, Shutterfly lets you upload any pattern, phrase or picture(s) you want to create your very own plates.
To keep a cohesive look in our tabletop, we incorporated different types of cacti and succulents as centerpieces. The statement flower pots from Shutterfly were the perfect accessory to showcase these pretty desertic plants. Choose the pots with the quote “Friends are Flowers in the Garden of Life” to make your bride tribe feel special and add each girl’s name for an individualized look.
Pretty little candles in a shade of pastel pink completed the look and the friendship quote was a thoughtful detail to make sure your day is extra meaningful. And the grapefruit scent… to die for!

And now let’s talk about our main gal. I want to thank our model Samantha — who isn’t only an actual bride-to-be (tying the knot next year), but she is also an amazing makeup artist and hairstylist behind Ur New Image. She obviously took care of her own beautiful bridal look, and her pink hair was just the perfect final touch for our little shoot. Don’t you think?
LET’S TOAST
Second on the list of entertaining details was the glassware. I personalized some wine glasses for every member of the bridal party, which can work as a welcoming element and a place card for your favorite gals. And because cotton candy calls for champagne, and Shutterfly has the prettiest champagne flutes ever, we decided to include some bridal party champagne flutes on our dessert bar. I love the fact that these have a double-use, as your bridesmaids could also utilize them to toast for your love and happiness on your wedding day.
