For some of us, work is just another day at the office, for Meagan, it is where she met the love of her life and future husband, Doug. Both of whom work as cancer researchers, very impressive if we may say so ourselves! The very elegant + sweet Kansas City nuptials consisted of close family and friends in the historic Pilgrim Chapel. After the ceremony, the darling duo headed over to Californos, a very well-known restaurant in the heart of Westport; where they wined and dined their guests in warm hues of violet & pink floral arrangements fused with stunning manzanita branch table décor complemented with candle lit tea lights to add a dash of romance + eclectic flare. Photographer, Alea Lovely captured all the lovely memories beautifully, from the sweet kisses of love, the bride’s moments before entering the chapel to all the magic in between, like the very adorable groom showing off his cute, violet diamond patterned socks to match the bride’s to-die-for Badgely Mischa purple pumps.
But, what is very unique about these Kansas City nuptials is the fact that Doug proposed without a ring, with the intention of picking it out later, of course. When the couple found the perfect diamond ring Megan decided she would not wear it until the wedding day, thus revealing it during the wedding ceremony. A very refreshing & unique twist on wedding tradition!
