You would think that getting proposed to on a dreamy trip to St. Lucia would be hard to top. A romantic dinner for two overlooking the water and the love of your life asking you to marry him? That’s pretty hard to beat. Carly and Austin made it happen though with a stunningly elegant Fall wedding. It was a magical day with so much charm!
Now, you may have seen a ton of cookie-cutter Fall weddings before but this one blows them out of the water. With a refreshingly unique design and a vintage twist, it’s everything you’ve been looking for. Prepare to be inspired! Rather than keeping it light and airy like is typically seen at The Glidden House, Carly and Austin wanted a dark and rich color palette which was gorgeous and striking in the space! Their photographer, Aileen Elizabeth, did an incredible job making that a reality in their photos as well.
While they had a traditional church wedding that was simple yet gorgeous their reception was anything but simple and traditional. With the help of their talented wedding planner, Kirkbrides Wedding Planning & Design, they brought their elegant Fall wedding to life. With deep purples, burgundies and plenty of greenery amidst pops of gold, it was perfection. They used rich textures in their linens to start. Adding onto that they included tall golden candlesticks and even fresh fruit! That’s right, they used eggplants and grapes to create a one-of-a-kind design. It added to the richness of the decor and tied it together perfectly.
