From the Photographer… “This fun-loving, outdoorsy couple is engaged and I’m so ecstatic they found one another. They met in high school but did not start dating until after Allison left for college. When she was back in town, visiting from school she ran into Andy at a party. During the night he made his way over to her with a napkin and a special message he wrote. It said, “Want to go to a movie?” They went to the Pirates of the Caribbean for their first official date. From there, it blossomed into a relationship. Now these two have been dating for years and love to be outside, doing as much fishing, camping, and spending time with family as possible. Their proposal is so wonderful and sentimental and I loved the way Allison shared it with me.
To follow with their love for the outdoors we met at Bay Shore Park for their Engagement Session. They brought along their adorable dog, Chibi, for some extra cuteness. Besides little Chibi, my favorite detail of our session was Allison’s cute monogram vest! Snow had just fallen a couple days before yet it was still warm enough to be outside. Everything turned out perfectly and the photos will forever remind them of this special time in their lives.”
From the Bride… “Andy had the ring over a month and was working behind the scenes on creating the perfect plan for a proposal. He went over to my parents and asked for their blessing. My parents said he started to tear up when he talked about me being ‘his best friend, love of his life, and wants to be with me forever.’ He asked my parents if the proposal could happen at their cabin, where we spend a lot of time. He even changed my mom’s number in his phone to ‘Randall’ so I wouldn’t catch on. He also booby-trapped his room in hiding the ring so I wouldn’t find it!We were sitting on the dock at my parents’ cabin on the last warm day of the season, enjoying a few beers and the sun. Andy got on one knee (struggling to get the ring out of his pocket) and said, ‘I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone but you. Will you marry me?’ I started shaking and said, ‘Yes!’ Then my grandparents, my parents, Andy’s parents, Andy’s grandparents, Andy’s Aunt and Uncle, and Andy’s sister and kids come out from the side of the house. Everyone congratulated us! There were hugs and tears of joy. Andy pulled it off seamlessly and it could not have been more perfect or more us!”
