From the Photographer… ” Leoni and Nick, an artist and a historian, fell in love with this impressive castle on the highest hill-top in Tuscany. From the towers one can see all the beautiful villages in the distance and the castle itself emanates over a thousand years of life. Not only is this a wedding venue, but also a center of contemporary art with works of local conceptual artists.
The moment we met up with the couple we were caught by there positive enthusiastic nature. They wanted a celebration with lots and lots of details. The bride being a painter was 100% involved in adding her personal touches to the decoration. She had made a logo, created banners, paintings, and prints. Leoni even pimped her wedding shoes by hand!
Nick took secret guitar lessons and surprised Leoni with a serenade during the wedding ceremony.
The wedding theme was ‘a touch of blue' to which our creative partners FunkyBird Wedding Design added white and gold. This combination gave the dinner setting a very luxurious feeling. Hundreds of candles finished it all off perfectly.
They had flown in their friend's band from Holland who were totally awesome, and whose singer was 3 months pregnant 🙂
And for food were in charge one of the most creative caterers in Tuscany: Kitchen Wishes. These three cooks and wine experts make every wedding such a feast to the eye and pallet. They seem to work effortlessly and with so much dedication. Before making the menu they insisted on knowing the mood board and theme of the wedding and invited the couple for a tasting in their home. What they finally came up with was mouth watering. Tartar from 0km Chianina beef, Vitello tonnato, home made gnocchi and different wines to go with each dish.
We will all look back on this wedding with so much joy!”
