So we're talking wedding colors today here at Belle! And one of may favorite hues right now is navy – it's classy, elegant and chic. It has been a traditional option for winter weddings. But thanks to it's oh-so-preppy look and its ability to be combined with almost any color, Navy is getting hotter by the minute. So, forget the baby blue, navy is the new “something blue”…and it may just be the perfect addition for your spring and summer wedding. Here are some colors navy loves this season. (image source)
Coral and peach shades work delightfully with navy. A palette that includes coral, navy and whites will create a fresh setting. Or to get a more natural / rustic feel bring beige and browns into the mix.

Navy, yellow and white make up a lovely color scheme for a summer or wedding, particularly an outdoor one. It's cheerful and bright and not too preppy.

If you like it preppy pairing navy, pinks and blush tones would make the perfect color palette for you. For a softer and classier look, ignore hot/bright pink and go for just soft blush tones. Or include some striped patterned paper goods and fabrics and the result is a fun, but lovely nautical theme.

A color wheel, like this PANTONE WEDDING™ Color Fan Guide from The Dessy Group, may come in handy when putting your color scheme together. You locate your favorite color and then utilize the color wheel to choose other complimentary colors. Don’t forget about the season though, this should be one of your main considerations as well.
