This elegant rustic wedding planned by Eclipse Event Co. let the breathtaking venue speak for itself. The couple took advantage of the natural wood and stone interiors, which were beautiful on their own, adding simple touches like teak pedestals — and the ceremony took place outside under a stunning arch of branches. The flowers and table dressings focused on deep greenery to bring out the natural tones. Keeping it simple, the bride actually made the wedding cake herself the night before the wedding (and there was an additional donut table, of course!). A Wedding Inspired by Nature
I always knew I wanted a very natural looking wedding with an emphasis on greenery and simple flowers as decorations, as well as lots of trees at the venue. Camp Lucy's Sacred Oaks was my dream venue because it had the gorgeous oak trees with the hanging lights outside, and a beautiful all wood and stone interior. It hardly needed any decorating! I knew it was an atmosphere that would make the guests feel comfortable while also perfectly representing Evan and I's simple style. I really never got overwhelmed with the details because I knew I only had 4 months to make it all happen and I told myself not to set unreasonable expectations. My thoughts were to keep it simple, let the venue do the talking, and to just enjoy the process because my wedding is ultimately about me getting to marry the love of my life..not what the centerpieces looked like. I am incredibly impressed with what Whim Florals did with my simple ideas. They made the place look both simple and elegant. It turned out beautifully. As for the colors, I knew I wanted an array of greenery so the colors needed to bring out the deep greens of the plants. I picked burgundy for the bridesmaids because it's my favorite color, and the whole Aggie thing, and Evan chose the groomsmen color, navy blue. I thought they blended beautifully with all the plants, and Whim found the most gorgeous flowers that perfectly matched the burgundy and blues.
