This flower-filled affair was the perfect mix of modern industrial style with classic romance — thanks in large part to amazing floral arrangements that were DIY-ed by the couple! Taking their inspiration from the soft color palette of nature, the blushes, lilacs, and greenery came together for a beautifully ethereal vibe. Both the bride and groom went with comfortable but sophisticated attire, with her spaghetti-strap bridal gown and his suit, to create a sophisticated, pared-back look. The simple but delicious-looking three-tiered wedding cake from Bread Art was a particularly nice touch. “For their big day, Katherine and Adam transformed an ordinarily industrial venue – The Machine Shop – into a light and flower-filled space that pulled in inspiration from “nature’s soft color palette,” according to Katherine.
Adding some DIY touches gave the venue more personalization. “We assembled all of our own flowers, made tables cards, and did our own set-up!” says Katherine. And their favorite memory from the wedding? “The ceremony – the laughs and the tears were some that we’ll never forget.”
Although putting together some of their own décor was surely a labor of love, it complemented the pops of pink in their centerpieces and the soft lilac of the bridesmaids’ dresses.”
