Glamorous Winter Wedding Styled Shoot

In the midst of warm weather, Stacy Anderson Photography shot a perfect winter wedding styled shoot from Texas! Nope, it’s not rustic-chic with mason jars. As the event designer from Mementos Events & Design said, she wanted to show a different side of Texas. And, Ya’ll—they did! The glamorous, easy breezy nautical feel is definitely there! So much elegance and fabulosity in the boldness of navy and gold holding a predominant role in the decor scheme! Especially having the bridal gown replaced by a sparkled-out dress, enchanting and coquettish as can be! The soft floral tones contrasted to perfection, the end result- a magnificent winter inspired shoot! The calligraphy screamed elegance and style, but the cake— it said LOOK AT ME! And, look we did! Tier after tier of gold, white, and navy refinement in the ultimate too pretty to eat category. A FULL GALLERY of this styled shoot is sure to have any bride to be pinning excessively and a post bride- now wife, reminiscing about the best details of her wedding!

From the photographer: “All that glitters was definitely gold in this glamorously styled wedding shoot. For this styled shoot, we wanted to mix a dripping with gold accents, glamorous feel with the easy-breezy laid back island life feel. After all, what could be better than sipping champagne from gold-rimmed crystal than doing so while sitting under palm trees and hearing the water roll in against the shore After our original location plans fell through, we visited the newly opened Water’s Edge in Seabrook, Tx and immediately we knew it was the place we wanted to host this stunning winter island styled shoot. With their palm tree-lined waterfront property to the warmth of their outdoor fire pit, Water’s Edge provided the romantic feel that one would want from an intimate island wedding.Let’s set the stage. We’ve got this beautiful venue – so now what? This is where House of Hough’s linens and Rent the Foundry’s white fur chair covers really started to create that warm and cozy winter look we were going for. ReLuvd helped make this look even more expensive looking by providing the gold-rimmed glassware and gold silverware. Our color inspiration was that of navy, white, and gold. We wanted to create a look that was over the top expensive-looking, with a bit of island whimsy. No wedding would be complete without some stunningly beautiful floral designs – and that’s exactly what Monica’s Brides and Touch of Glitz Flowers provided. Her use of hydrangea, roses, blue-painted berries, gold baby’s breath, and anemones were the perfect accent to our vision. The cascading flowers draped every chair, as well as adorned the tops of the white candelabras. The cake! Oh, the cake! Shazdeh Cakes created the most elegant, ornate cake I’ve ever photographed. They did such an amazing job of matching the bride’s dress perfectly, with it’s top tier mimicking the gold sequined, as well as the other tiers tying it all together with gold foil and gold paint. The look was completed with Bella Grafia’s ornate, navy calligraphy topper with the couple’s names on it. One of my favorite things at weddings are the details, so it’s no surprise that we wanted to get a lot of specialty items made for the shoot. This included the elegant invitations provided by Cotton Paperie, calligraphy work by Bella Grafia, custom bow tie by Swank Neck, and those rockin’ earrings and veil by Fiancee Bridal Boutique. A styled shoot is never complete without the bride and groom. This real-life couple is getting married soon, so they loved the idea of getting all dolled up and having a day all about them. We wanted to be slightly askew from the typical white wedding dress and black tux, so we opted for these dazzling alternatives. Our bride wore a sparkly, gold sequin Badgely Mischka gown (provided by Tootsie’s) with a low swooping draped back. Of course we had to make sure our groom looked just as dapper, so we dressed him in a sleek and sophisticated navy Michael Kors tux (provided by Alvin Tuxedos). And of course, all of this wouldn’t have come together nearly this nicely without the tireless efforts of Kelly with Mementos Events & Design. Kelly’s vision was spot on with all of the bold pops of navy color with the delicateness of the gold accents.”

From the event designer: “A feeling of excitement came over me when the Stacy Anderson Photography, approached me to collaborate together on a glam winter wedding inspirational shoot. Our motivation was to think out of the box. We wanted to give brides a chance to view another side of Texas, not your stereotypical rustic setting full of mason jars, cowboy boots, and a barn. What a better way than to highlight the beauty of the Texas coastline at Waters Edge premier waterfront location for winter and incorporate a touch of glamour. The color palette was a perfect combination of sophistication, elegance, and representation of winter. It was captured by the use of navy, gold hues, and shades of white. Elements of glass, floating candles, florals, and greenery emphasized the feeling of winter luxury we wanted to capture throughout the shoot. Our female model looked stunning in a sparkling all-over sequin statement cowl back gown designed by Badgley Mischka and provided by Tootsie’s. This gown made the dramatic impact while carefully paired with art deco earrings, birdcage veil, and pin curl waves. The romantic bouquet softened the bold palette, added to the bridal feeling, yet tied into our winter theme with sprays of gold baby's breath, white hydrangea to represent snow, rose's, and a few anemones. The male model was dashing in a modern navy suit, custom textured ivory and gold pocket square, and bow tie. The breath taking 5 tiered fondant cake meticulously hand painted, gold leafed, and doused in edible gold sequins was a marvelous addition with its romantic florals and edible sequins. The mere essence of the Texas coastline and beauty of winter was conveyed throughout the gorgeous tablescape and chairs. A large white candelabra adorned with vast amounts of florals was the center of attention highlighted with the flicker and warmth of floating candles. Not to mention, the clear chiavari chairs strategically placed with navy chair sashes, matching his and hers blooms, and a cozy faux fur seat. The luxurious place settings and navy linens representing the ocean were the backdrop of fine calligraphy place cards and menu cards which set the tone to this magnificent winter inspired photo shoot.”
