Blush and Gray Whimsical Wedding

Pretty in Pink
It’s no secret that we love to walk on the wild side of the wedding world trends, we totally adore white wedding gowns; but when we see a bride taking the risk of wearing a blush gown, our heart flutters with joy, particularly when Sofia Katherine Photography is there to capture every minute of it! Obviously this beauty had no trouble pulling off the blush wedding gown trend- as she looked like a wedding gown dream of perfection in that stunning Maggie Sottero gown. Speaking of ruffles and beauty, the three tiered perfection we call a cake resembled the bride’s gown quite nicely with touches of blush.

Across the Country Planning
Destination weddings are worth the risk of planning from afar when the outcome is just as gorgeous as this adorable couple’s New Brunswick, Canada nuptials. Particularly when you have the Bathurst Harbour in the Bay of Chaleur as a backdrop for every stunning picture of you and your love saying, ‘I do!’
From the couple: “Despite having to plan our wedding from across the country, our wedding day turned out perfectly! Our favorite moment was seeing each other for the first time on the golf course. We both felt emotional once the ceremony began, before we even laid eyes on each other. Being announced as husband and wife at the end of the ceremony was also so exciting! It all felt very surreal to have all of our close family and friends in the same place to witness the ceremony, especially because we had not seen so many of them in almost a year.”

Words of Advice
Tips are always welcome in our book, especially when those tips serve as stress reducers for our brides + grooms. Planning a destination wedding always comes with the small risk of not knowing what the outcome will be until the day of, which can be pretty stressful. But, follow these tips from our darling couple may help you plan your big day… “Our best piece of advice to brides and grooms to be who are planning their wedding from afar is to be sure that your vendors are tech-savy. When there is a time difference (ours was three hours) phoning is not always the easiest way to communicate. It was important to us to have people who were comfortable and prompt with emailing. Having our parents live in the same province as our wedding venue was also a big help and made things a lot easier!”
