I was born in the 80’s and I grew up in the 90’s, but at heart I’m a totally 70’s girl. So this 70’s inspired wedding by the awesome Oli Sansom Photography is right out my alley. Here at BTM, we absolutely looove this shoot for the amazing vibrant colors, patterns, and cool little details that epitomize summer’s fashion and fab style. So let’s begin with a little wedding wardrobe, the very stylish groom wore a bright blue suit to add a pop of color to the usual black and white suit. The bridal party was not far behind in the uber stylish department with two of our favorite trends, the mismatched trend and floral aesthetic which gave the traditional bridesmaid dress a cool retro twist by being completely independent of one another yet, cohesive and fabulous! But, a wedding this full of spunk + fun can only be held at the Fitzroy Town Hall in Melbourne Australia which encompasses the formal meets informal vibe with a subtle grandeur- grunge street cred, which was decorated oh-so festively with streamers and large balloons for a picture perfect memory. Of course, a day this grand would not be complete with regular appearances of freshly lush- vibrant florals and DIY touches like the homemade table numbers + candles that involved painting white numbers on jars and taping parchment paper around–gorgeous and cheap way to diffuse light and hide fake candles! So welcome summer the right way and take all this lovely inspiration in!
