Inspired by “Rêverie” (daydream in French), one of the first solo piano compositions of Claude Debussy from 1890, the new collection is everything.
Shot in a set designed by Livné himself, the gowns glimmer, and play so candidly against the statues. A few nods to current trends, and the trends that Alon Livné himself creates include a light, whispy ruffles, various voluminous bell sleeves, glamorous shimmery numbers, jaw-dropping wrapped dresses and sexy sheer panels we just die for.
From the Fashion House
Alon Livné’s Spring-Summer 2020 collection was inspired by “Rêverie” (daydream in French), one of the first solo piano compositions of Claude Debussy from 1890.
The piece, played on a grand-piano, starts with soft and comforting sounds that hint the start of a daydream, which inspired the clean and minimal designs in the collection. As the piece progresses and becomes rich with harmonies and creates an almost touchable texture of sounds, so does the collection with gowns made of exquisite lace designs, rich hand-beaded fabrics, and intricate sewing techniques.
The collection’s campaign images were also shot inspired by Debussy’s work, large statues were designed by Livné and set as a backdrop mimicking abstract musical instruments.
In between the statues, the gowns flow and sway as if it were a real-life daydream.
