A “Hoppily Ever After” Vintage Wedding

Tale as old as time for the Beauty and the Brewer! A vintage wedding that gives homage to the couple themselves is always the way to go! The beautiful bride wore a simple and elegant gown that she spruced up with a long veil and awesome floral crown. Now, a dapper groom did not fade away from the fun of head accessories, he looked debonaire with a suave top hat! The newly named Mr. & Mrs. poured their personalities into all aspects of the wedding with hops in the boutonnieres and arch where they tied the knot. Our main man also pulled out all the stops by brewing a special batch of beer named “Hoppily Ever After” for their special day! Arte De Vie Photography even captured their oh-so-them getaway on a double bike, which they rode straight into the night and the beginning of their new life together. A FULL GALLERY has just the thing to makes us hoppy for this vintage wedding! We mean happy, or do we?

From the photographer… “Stephanie and Derek were married mid-October in the Botanical Gardens at City Park. I knew the wedding was going to be fabulous when we photographed Stephanie’s bridals and she showed up looking like some kind of Goddess! I had a feeling that she would have a unique style, and I was not wrong. It’s not often you encounter a flower crown on the bride –but Stephanie pulled it off like none other. I honestly could not picture her without it now. So you know when you have a stylish/unique bride, you’re probably going to have a snazzy groom too. Yup. Derek was so classy and debonair with his top hat. I love the photo of him leaning against the orange wall. One or two of the neatest touches revolved around Derek. He is a brewer at Nola Brewing. The archway that they were married in front of was full of hops from beer. And Derek even brewed a special batch of beer for the wedding that they called “Hoppily Ever After.” I learned about this towards the end of the evening, so I found a cup and had a sampling. It was incredible!!! I’m not a big fan of beer, but if this were mass produced — I’d be buying some Hoppily Ever After. Plus I’m a sap, and I love the name of it! I also have to mention that at the end of the night, this fabulous tandem bike covered in lights was wheeled out onto the dance floor by her brother. At the end of their second line, they hopped on the bike and pedaled off to the start of their lives together. As I ran to the front entrance as they came up the path to exit — I knew the answer as I questioned, “are you going all the way downtown on that?!” Yes, of course! Why wouldn’t they! And that is why we got along so well — my kinda peeps!”
