Classy & Elegant Michigan Wedding

Hello again my lovely ladies! Classiness and elegance is what this Michigan Wedding is all about. The lovely bride and her groom exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony. The groom kissed his bride and they made their way to a marvelous venue , two different centerpieces of swoon-worthy floral design, a stunning sweetheart table for the couple in love. The cake was as unique as they come, with a branch-like crown hugging the diameter and succulents floating gently above, it was almost too beautiful to eat! And then there was pie, but what “took the cake” were the surprise fireworks for the guests to enjoy! Of course, the fireworks may also have been for Blaine Siesser Photography to get some amazing shots for the bride and groom basking in the light! Check the FULL GALLERY for more classy elegance!

When did you guys meet?
A cold evening in January of 2007. We met through a mutual friend (though he'd say at a bar)….it was a birthday party…at a bar.

How did he propose? Did you know he was going to?
He proposed on a NYC rooftop patio on weekend getaway. Surprisingly, I was completely taken unawares. He had enlisted my sister to help plan this elaborate ruse to throw me off track and surprised me with a scene out of the bachelor (candles, flower petals, wine, champagne…) The ruse worked so well though, I thought it was just a great date night and it took about two hours before he could get the words out. The next day as I started to tell people I learned that everyone….and I mean everyone….was in on it (I have a large family, none of which can keep a secret). It ended up making the whole experience more meaningful as our happiness was shared by so many people. I love the way it happened.

What was most exciting about the wedding day to you?
Is ‘everything' a satisfactory answer? I really enjoyed the whole thing. It ended up being such an authentic celebration of us and our families. I was just excited to share that with Anthony and everyone else.

Favorite wedding memory?
Rebecca's answer: the few moments of quiet reflection I got with Anthony between events….dancing with him…putting the ring on his finger. The ceremony, my dad's reaction to seeing me for the first time in my dress…surprising my mom and dad (and everyone else) with fireworks. There are too many to choose from. Seeing my guests having a good time. Hearing people tell me afterward how much they enjoyed it. Every so often being able to relive it by laughing or commenting on a wedding memory with Anthony.
Anthony's answer: Getting home at 4:30 in the morning after being taken out by the boys- almost having the honeymoon flight cancelled – lunch with the boys – the last second in the back before “showtime” – seeing Rebecca for the first time that day – the nuptial blessing – that our first dance which was not our first dance (we did not pick “boogy shoes”!)– fireworks…but seeing her in her dress finally would maybe be the favorite.
