Mint & Ivory Wedding

A beautiful bride with her handsome beau exchanging vows in a traditional church. Those make amazing love stories, some of my favorite in fact. Add to that great taste of simple and elegant decor with mint and ivory details, well that is just a dream come true. A striking and timeless lace gown, no less, accompanied by gorgeous pastel bridesmaids dresses flowed along in the wonderful reception. Tables, gracefully dressed in sophisticated linen, played home for tall, poised floral arrangements of fluffy hydrangeas. The cake was almost too pretty to eat with is satin bow sitting fashionably. Michael David Photography shot a FULL GALLERY with swoon-worthy snaps for us to fall in love with!

From the Photographer… “Newport,Rhode Island is a gorgeous destination wedding location for many couples. My favorite Place in Newport is Ocean Cliff. Kristine and Zach are just one of the many couples I did not meet until their wedding day and I was thrilled to meet such a great couple when I finally met them for the first time. Kristine and Zach got ready at the Newport Marriott Hotel. Kristine was a wedding photographer’s dream bride. She was funny, laid back and beautiful. She made my job extremely easy. Zach was so excited to marry Kristine, you could just see it in his face. The wedding ceremony was held at Saint Mary’s Church, the same church where President John F. Kennedy married Jackie Onassis. It was my first time photographing at Saint Mary’s Church and I hope I have the opportunity to photograph there again. The church was just beautiful, as well as the ceremony itself. I remember looking at Zach just before his bride Kristine walked into the church, he looked nervous. As soon as he saw Kristine though, his nerves immediately faded away into pure happiness. The ceremony was special and the priest had everyone laughing. He was the funniest priest I have ever met, which lead to a great ceremony full of laughter and joy. After the wedding ceremony the bridal party headed to McAuley Hall in Newport. McAuley Hall is a beautiful red sandstone mansion. It was the perfect setting for the formal photographs. The wedding party was great to photograph, they were so happy for Kristine and Zach. The reception was held at Ocean Cliff Hotel & Resort in Newport. Ocean Cliff is one of my favorite reception locations to photograph. The building was formerly an estate, which gives the resort traditional, time-worn elegance. The scenery is breathtaking. I love that Ocean Cliff takes care of every detail, from the table cloths to the name cards, so the bride and groom can just enjoy themselves at their reception. Kristine and Zach were fully able to relax and have fun at their reception and their guests did as well. Thank you to Kristine and Zach for allowing me to spend the day with you to capture all of the special moments you created!”
